2. Hold the muscle firmly and inject the needle at a ninety degree angle with a quick and firm motion.
3. After you insert the needle completely, release your grasp on the muscle.
4. Gently pull back on the plunger of the syringe to check for blood. If blood is present, withdrawal the needle from the skin and apply an alcohol swab over the injection site. Start fresh with a new needle.
5. If no blood appears, inject the solution by gently and steadily pushing down on the plunger.
